iKeyMonitor is a parental control app for Android and iOS Phones and tablets. The user guide below explains how to set it up.
INSTALL
Activate Service
iKeyMonitor is compatible with Android and iOS (jailbroken). To begin, sign up for a free trial to download the app.
Install on iPhone/iPad(For Jailbroken Device)
- Go to Download Center and follow the guide to install it via Cydia or Sileo.
- Access localhost:8888 to configure and register it.
Install iKeyMonitor for Android
- Log in to the Online Panel.
- Click Menu - Download - For Android.
- Follow the guide to download and install it.
- Delete the downloaded installer files and clear browser history to remove traces.
SETTINGS
iKeyMonitor starts logging immediately after installation. You can enable optional functions per your requirements. The settings can be configured remotely on Cloud Panel - Settings – Devices - Client Settings.
View Logs on the Online Panel with a Web browser
You can use the online panel to remotely view logs using a web browser. You can also install the panel viewer app for easier access to the logs.
Alert Words
The Alert Words feature enables users to capture screenshots based on keywords in keystrokes or the App Name. To add alert words, go to the Panel Settings - Alert words.
Email Alert and Notification
After configuration, iKeyMonitor can send you a notification email if the specific alert word is detected among logs so that you can act accordingly as soon as possible.
- Go to Settings - Notifications. Click the “Add” icon to add a notification.
Transfer license from one device to another
- Go to Cloud Panel - Device Management
- Select the listed device you want to delete and choose “Delete”.
- Then, you can install the client to another device and register it with your license key.
Renew/Add more License
- Go to Cloud Panel Settings – License section, select " Renew " from the License options. Change the quantity to add more allowed devices to your account.

For iOS Jailbroken: Hide Jailbreak Info
- Touch the Advance Settings - Hide Jailbreak Info(Cydia)
- Set a port number after “Change URL to http://localhost:” and Save Settings
- For Android: Change PIN
- Touch Settings - Security to change PIN.
Track GPS Location
- The location service on the device must be enabled. Open Settings – Privacy – Location Services and turn it on.
APP BLOCKER
App blocker allows parents to block inappropriate Apps and Games on iPhones, iPad, Android phones, and tablets with a designated schedule so that children can learn to use their devices moderately and safely.
Set Daily Maximum Usage Time and Break Time:
Specify daily maximum usage time of specific apps or games to prevent children from spending too much time on social networks or games and help them focus on more productive activities, such as homework, family dinners, and chores.
- Go to App Blocker – Daily (Time) Limit and enable daily limit blocker.
- Enter or select a time interval (H:M) allowed daily during Workday/Weekend.
- Select the apps you want to block from the given list.
Note*: Select “Automatically block/include new apps” if you want to block new apps installed later. - Touch “Save Settings” button at the bottom (for iOS).
- Taking breaks helps protect your eyes. Take a reset for x minutes after y minutes.
Block Apps During Bedtime/Homework time:
Specify daily maximum usage time of specific apps or games to prevent children from spending too much time on social networks or games and help them focus on more productive activities, such as homework, family dinners, and chores.
- Tap on App Blocker – Bed Time or Homework Time.
- Select days of the week, fill in or select start/end of bedtime.
- Select apps you want to block from the given list.
(Note: Select “Automatically block/include new apps” if you want to block new apps installed later…) - Scroll down to the bottom of the page and touch “Save Settings” (for iOS).
Block Apps Throughout:
Enable App Blocker to block certain harmful or inappropriate apps or games, such as Facebook and Snapchat, ultimately all the time, protecting children from becoming victims of game or social network abuse.
- Touch App Blocker – App Blocker and enable App Blocker.
- Select apps you want to block all the time from the given list.
(Note: Select “Automatically block/include new apps” if you want to block new apps installed later…) - Scroll down to the bottom of the page and touch “Save Settings” (for iOS).
Unblock All Temporarily:
Unblock all the apps for a specific time period when you want to calm down crying children, reward them for good behaviors, or you need to use these apps temporarily.
- Tap on one of the time interval options (15m / 30m / 1h / 2h for iOS; 2 / 5 / 15 / 30 / 60 / 120 Mins for Android) offered under “Unblock All Temporarily.”
- In this way, all blocked apps will be unblocked for your chosen time.
UNINSTALLATION
Remove iKeyMonitor for iOS Jailbroken:
- Launch Cydia on the target device.
- Tap Installed
- Find and tap on iKeyMonitor
- Touch Modify – Remove to uninstall iKeyMonitor
Remove iKeyMonitor for iOS Jailbroken, which was installed with a custom script:
- Open a terminal on your device or log in remotely via SSH.
- Note: you can use the SSH command-line client if you are on Mac/Linux or PuTTY if you are on Windows*
- Download the package to the device with this command
wget https://ikeymonitor.com/apt/ikmuninstall.sh - Make it executable
chmod 755 ikmuninstall.sh - Run the uninstaller
./ikmuninstall.sh
Uninstall iKeyMonitor for Android:
- Dial the PIN (default #8888*) to open iKeyMonitor
- Enter your password (leave it blank if you did not set one) and touch Login
- Tap on Settings – Uninstall to remove it
